Drying technique

Most botulinum toxin manufacturers stick to the traditional lyophilization (freeze-drying) method, 

where the resulting product has residual powder left at the bottom of every vial and is heat sensitive, 

needing refrigeration. Metox drying process during manufacturing is done through vacuum-drying, 

an updated technique that leaves almost no powder residue at the bottom of the vial,
